What's your call?

In a book titled 'Chickenhawk', there's a story about a little test that the US Army gave to every applicants. The test was about a situation where the applicants was supposed to be driving a truck, fully loaded with his fellow soldier, going down a steep hill. The road was bad and there was cliffs on both side. And then there was this little kid standing right in the center of the road. There was suppose to be no way the driver could avoid the kid. The applicants must then choose a course of action. Drive on and kill the kid, or veer of the road and plunge himself and his fellow soldier to a certain death.
The answer expected by the enlistment officer was that the applicant would drive on and kill the kid, and that's what most, if not all, of them answered. If only it were that simple.
But hei..., wait a minute...! Live is full of simple choices.
You either take the job or not. You either proposed her or not. Are in or are you out. This or that, now or later, here or there.
Yes sir, life is full of simple chioces. If only it were easy as well. Cause the choices we make will lead to consequences, some of it are dire, either to ourself or to others. And unlike those soldier wan-na-be, our consequences are real. I don't know about you, some of those consequences are too heavy to live with.
Oh well...
Those who have seen the final Star Wars movie would probably understand more wahat i'm babling about here. For those of you who haven't, well....
Let's just say that becareful of the choices you make. The consequences may not always visible at firts and that there's always a choice. That's what life is about, making choices, often simple but hardly ever easy.
